Dear You

When I was depressed I felt stuck in a rut and wanted to hurt myself.

I felt lonely and a failure and life isn't worth living anymore. I had no work and no friends only my Mum, my Dad and my brother who gave me endless support and encouragement that helped me get through the dull life that I was living.

Mindfulness is what helped me pass through hard times and this is what helped me...

You are dearly loved by many people around you. No one wants to see you get hurt.

There is always something good to see everywhere you go even though at the moment you can't see it. Though you may be scared, afraid and doubtful there lies a memory of sheer happiness and bliss in anyone's life no matter what age.

Close your eyes and appreciate the air you breath that it is clean and fresh. Imagine your perfect life what it would be like and dream of it.

Think of the gifts you have received over the years. Think of your talents and how you would like to share your skills with other people. What is it you wish for and hope to achieve?

Inner peace and inner acceptance are more valuable than all the money in the universe. What profits us if we gain the whole world but lose our soul?

No one can destroy what you love the most and that is you! Love yourself, be kind and generous towards yourself and seek inner peace, joy and acceptance.

You can recover! ;)

Wishing you all the best.

Mariam
